The starter package includes GENIUS, charging station and power supply.
The Genius is the central control unit of the ANGEL system and provides the electronics for electrical and fall accident detection. It clips into the cradle (the holder on the left upper arm of the ANGEL shirt) and communicates with the user through visual and audible signals. The Genius senses the voltage drop across the body, detects falls, and in the event of an emergency, notifies the emergency contact and/or the emergency call center via the connected smartphone app.

FAQ
How does the ANGEL system change everyday working life?
An ANGEL shirt wears like any other work shirt, and the Genius on the upper arm is hardly noticeable in everyday life. In dangerous situations, however, the ANGEL app installed on the smartphone immediately calls for help and can save lives.
What is the voltage threshold at which the ANGEL system responds?
In short, there is none, and that's a good thing. It is not the voltage that is harmful, but the current that flows through the body. The Genius measures the voltage drop between the upper arms and this is a measure of the current flowing through one or both arms. Therefore, it has no relevance whether the voltage is high or low. The response threshold of the Genius is typically in the single digit milliamp range.
Is ANGEL suitable for working under voltage?
Working under voltage is subject to very special rules, and these must not be altered or weakened even with a smart textile shirt. If possible, work should always be carried out in accordance with the five safety rules. The system is an additional safety measure in case of work errors.
Is ANGEL personal protective equipment in the sense of EU Regulation 2016/425?
No, ANGEL is voluntary additional equipment and therefore not protective equipment in the sense of EU Regulation (EU) 2016/425 of 09.03.2016 and therefore does not replace any otherwise prescribed protective clothing or protective equipment.
Can ANGEL detect all types of electrical accidents?
ANGEL detects when a current flows through the body and there is a voltage drop between the upper arms. Since the circumstances of current contact are varied, we cannot guarantee that every case will be detected correctly.
Does emergency detection work without cellular reception?
Thesmartphone uses either the cellular network or a direct data connection such as WLAN. If neither of these connections is available for 15 minutes, the smartphone will prompt you to re-establish a connection. You can also set a task timer when there is no connection. You can activate this timer before performing dangerous tasks or before working in a basement with no reception, for example. If the timer expires and you do not end the alarm, the rescue chain is automatically alerted.
Can the shirt help in case of an arc fault?
ANGEL cannot defend against a hazard caused by arc faults. For this purpose, it is necessary to wear flame-retardant outerwear. However, since the ANGEL shirt is made of cotton and cannot melt, it is excellent for wearing under flame retardant protective clothing.
Is there an alarm if I jump off the ladder?
Fall detection is a combination of several parameters: free fall, impact, and subsequent motionlessness. If a significant shock occurs, the fall sensor integrated in the Genius starts recording the fall. However, the automatic alarm triggering is only activated if the person remains motionless for 30 seconds after the fall, as we then assume a real emergency situation. A jump from the ladder with subsequent walking away, on the other hand, is not recorded as an emergency situation.
